About the event
As meditators and human beings, many of us are aspiring to be kind and loving. Yet often we get tangled in our patterns of meanness and self-obsession. When we sit down and meditate in the context of Buddhism, the inspiration to be a open-hearted bodhisattva is even stronger. And sometimes the disappointment is likewise harsh.
But the play of love and anti-love is a fascinating arena to practice in. Noticing the loveliness of love. But also kindly aware of the gnarly constriction of our less-than-loving parts. Why are we mean? Why do we shout at our loved ones? Why do those awful thoughts constantly pop into our heads?
